The article notes that Lumbini Agro-Product & Research Center (Tilottama, Rupandehi) is now a major agri-tourism attraction. About “around 400 domestic and foreign tourists go to see Lumbini Agro Product and Research Center, the country’s largest cow farm,” and the farm produces about “2,000 liters of milk every day” while also generating its own biogas energy.
This Nepali report highlights agri-tourism at Poudel’s farm. It states “नेपालकै ठूलो गाई फार्म लुम्बिनी एग्रो प्रोडक्ट एन्ड रिसर्च सेन्टरमा दैनिक चार सयको हाराहारीमा आन्तरिक तथा बाह्य पर्यटक आउने” (about 400 tourists visit daily), bringing “मासिक १५–२० लाख रुपैयाँ आम्दानी” (Rs. 1.5–2 million monthly). The farm has ~450 cows (Holstein/Friesian/Jersey) producing ~2,000 L milk per day, with onsite biogas generation and 22 bigha of improved grass.

A Nepali media report on awards notes that Shashi Poudel (director of Lumbini Agro Products & Research Centre) was honored for his farming. It mentions his Tilottama farm has “५००भन्दा बढी गाई” (over 500 cows), a capital investment of about NPR 1 billion, and plans to generate electricity from cow dung.
This 2021 technical report (AEPC/AEPC) identifies Lumbini Agro as a major biogas project. It states that among “three operational subprojects (Envipower, Gandaki Urja, Lumbini Agro)” – the Lumbini farm is a large commercial biogas plant “that produce[s] and market[s] commercial CNG”.

A Dec 2013 World Bank/AEPC report on waste-to-energy describes Lumbini Agro (Tikuligadh, Rupandehi): established in 2008, it covers 32 bigha (216,717 m²) with 269 cows and daily production of ~3,374 kg of dung (plus urine). The report discusses installing a 270 m³ biogas plant (yielding ~386 kWh/day) to utilize this waste.
